Bruno Boccara and the Psychodynamics of Nations

Dr Bruno Boccara – a former Lead Economist at the World Bank and Director of Sovereign Ratings at Standard & Poor’s and UBS – is keynote speaker at the Getting the Policies we Deserve? The Dynamics of Making Policy symposium convened by the National Institute of Organisation Dynamics Australia (NIODA) in Melbourne 8th and 9th September 2017. (Download brochure here)

He was keen for an opportunity to also discuss his ideas in Sydney. Dr John Francis Collins of the Catholic Institute of Sydney (CIS) has been able to very quickly arrange a symposium on the evening of Wednesday 30 August 2017, 6:30PM for a 7:00PM start. You can download the flyer here. There is no charge, and a seat can be booked with John by email jcollins@cis.catholic.edu.au

In addition to his work in economics and public policy, Dr Boccara has completed psychoanalytic training at NYU School of Medicine and he is member of the American Psychoanalytic Association. His approach to public policy and system dynamics on a country level is therefore unusually sophisticated.

He advised the Macron campaign in France, and worked on the peace process in Colombia and terrorism in Tunisia. You can find his webpage here.

A man for our times? Come and see on Wednesday night.
